What this website collects, why, and how to tell us to stop.

Murphy & Murphy Counseling operates murphymurphycounseling.com. This policy covers this website only. Booking, intake forms, assessments, messaging and payment are handled by our scheduling platform under its own privacy terms and its own agreements.
What we collect
What you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the reason you selected, and any message. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not share it for advertising.
The form also records how you arrived at the site — the page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. This stays on our own systems and is not sent to any third party.
What the server records
Our hosting provider records ordinary web server information for every visit: IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This is kept briefly and used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.
Analytics
This site uses privacy-respecting analytics that count visits without building a profile of you. No health information is collected by this website, and none is sent to any analytics service.
If you decline, everything on this site works exactly the same. Nothing is gated behind consent. Declining costs you nothing.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your Global Privacy Control signal is honored if your browser sends one.
Your privacy choices
You can change your mind at any time using the privacy choices link, which appears in the footer of every page.
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or an extension sends it, we treat it as an opt-out and load no analytics at all — you do not need to interact with any banner for that to take effect.
Rights you may have
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- opt out of its sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing here to opt out of; and
- not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.

How long we keep it
Inquiries sent through this website are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the work, then removed.
Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security, and what a web form is not
We protect what you send us, but no website is a confidential channel. Please do not use the contact form to send sensitive personal details. This site is served over HTTPS. Clinical records are not held on this website at any point.
Changes to this notice
If we change what the site collects, we change this page and update the date at the top.
